As a photographer, I am very fortunate to get to explore and spend much of my time in nature. The great outdoors is my office! It also means I often get to come back to places where I was six months or even a year ago. Sometimes I am deeply saddened by the change and damage that I see. Not just some trash on the sidewalks and in the streams, but the water level being dropped, more tree roots showing, and less wild animals. As a father, I have come to realize how important it is to take action to protect our planet. I want my son to grow up with the same opportunities to enjoy nature as his mom and dad.
Protecting nature is something that is a very integral part of my business and I hope that in choosing me as your photographer you share those values.
You worked really hard to relax and go on a holiday where I can be your photographer! I bet that you appreciate the peace of mind that comes with getting away from your hectic life. Maybe it is hiking in the woods or reading a book by the shore - us human beings naturally relax when we’re in nature because it gives us solace from the busy world. It feels good to smell fresh roses, the softness of the soil underneath your feet walking in the woods, seeing the beautiful sunset going over the vast ocean, hearing raindrops on the balcony or tasting fresh fruits. It is important to save this planet. It is a place we relax, we heal, and we live.

Planting Trees
Trees help clean the air we breathe, filter the water we drink, and provide habitat to over 80% of the world's terrestrial biodiversity.Forests provide jobs to over 1.6 billion people, from the atmosphere, and are key ingredients in 25% of all medicines. Have you ever taken an Aspirin? It comes from the bark of a tree! So at Eugene Kim Photography, if there’s a tree in any of the photoshoot we did, we will donate trees in couple’s name through an organization called ONE TREE PLANTED. Clean the Ocean
The air we breathe: The ocean produces over half of the world's oxygen and absorbs 50 times more carbon dioxide than our atmosphere. Climate regulation: Covering 70 percent of the Earth's surface, the ocean transports heat from the equator to the poles, regulating our climate and weather patterns. And the ocean, the body of water, cannot sustain without those magnificent animals living in it. At the moment, they are suffering. Many dead fish, turtles, whales, dolphins are found with micro plastics in them. We are already experiencing the downside of this through massive wildfires, bigger and stronger hurricanes and bigger temperature changes in seasons. So at Eugene Kim Photography, if there’s any type of water in photoshoot we do, we will donate to an organization called THE OCEAN CLEANUP.
Giving Back to The Planet
Giving back to the Planet. Even if we plant trees and clean up the oceans there is still so much needs to be done and though we are not the biggest company in the world, we would like to join them and help. For this we are working with an organization called 1% FOR THE PLANET. Their idea is simple; because companies profit from the resources they take from the earth, they should protect those resources. So at Eugene Kim Photography, we are giving back 1% of our revenue every year regardless we are profitable or not AND we will increase the donation by 1% every year we make more revenue than the year before. So if we grow every year for the next 10 years, we will be giving back 10% of our revenue. If that happens, we will probably switch to profit than revenue, to be sustainable, but I hope we can give back that much.
